Pre-Buy Checklist: Replace Emotion With Questions

Section titled “Pre-Buy Checklist: Replace Emotion With Questions”

One mark of professional execution is that the key questions are asked before the order is placed, not after. This checklist is designed to make Bitcoin allocation more stable, not slower for its own sake.

  • Am I buying because of the long-term hard-asset thesis, or because price action feels exciting?
  • If price goes nowhere for six months, do I still agree with the reason for owning it?
  • Could this capital be needed within the next 12 months?
  • Am I acting on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly process?
  • Where are AHR999 and MVRV right now?
  • Is the current setup improving odds, or simply amplifying excitement?
  • Is Fear & Greed already in extreme greed?
  • Am I acting because the market is strong, or because my plan says it is time to act?
  • Where will this position ultimately be held?
  • Are the seed phrase, hardware wallet, and backup procedures already in place?

If price drops 30% immediately after I buy, will I regret the size more than the timing? If the answer is yes, size or pacing is probably too aggressive.
